Qualifications:

Educational Background:

An M.B.A. or Master’s Degree in finance, economics, accounting or business management from a reputed institute or a Chartered Accountant/CPA is preferred. Furthermore, additional educational qualifications which would serve as an advantage might include:

- An advanced qualification in law;

- A professional certification in forensic accounting or fraud investigation such as the CFE; or

- Any additional professional certifications such as the CFA.

Work Experience:

Candidate should have over 20 years of experience in some or most field(s) of our FAS service lines. The experiences should represent general financial advisory experience in professional services, investment banking or other related environments. In addition, leadership/management skills along with cultural fit will be on keen importance.

We are scouting for Senior Manager – Financial Advisory Services for One of the Big 4.

Job Location: Hyderabad

FAS Related Experience:

- Strong familiarity and experience with some or all FAS service lines/market offerings with demonstrated expertise in at least one (or more) service line(s);

- Demonstrated familiarity and experience with the U.S. business and legal environment;

- Demonstrated familiarity and experience with U.S. GAAP/IFRS; and

- Demonstrated familiarity and experience in high end finance/accounting, forensics/disputes, and/or litigation consulting services such as document review, e-discovery, etc.

Leadership/Management/Cultural Skills/Fit:

- Ability to work in an environment that is undergoing significant change and is subject to an ongoing need to manage and measure the impact of the changes on the business to ensure favorable outcomes;

- Ability to work in an uncertain, dynamic and virtual environment relying upon key skills such as proactive approach, accountability, focus on achievement vs. activity alone, and understanding both the big picture along with the more salient details;

- Ability to consistently and effectively communicate in English, in both written form and orally with individuals ranging from senior partners to recently hired campus hires;

- Ability to demonstrate a consultative orientation based on teaming and collaboration in a matrixed environment;

- Ability to demonstrate a creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial mindset to advance business interests with multiple distribution channels;

- Demonstrated experience and track record of success in practice management including developing strategic, operational and financial goals along with key implementation tactics to execute. Must have demonstrated capabilities in identifying and implementing growth plans that are aligned with the U.S. FAS business strategy.

- Demonstrated experience and track record of success in people development including talent acquisition, development and delivery. These experiences should also include focus on career and performance management along with leadership support for key Firm Talent initiatives including Diversity & Inclusion, Women’s Initiative, Mass Career Customization, etc.;

- Ability to attract, develop, and retain a high performing, cohesive team that can effectively deliver client and non-client engagements in a virtual environment;

- Demonstrated experience and track record of success in project management including the management of clients, people, and engagement activities on multiple and concurrent engagements. Specifically, project management skills might include lead engagement planning and budgeting, mobilize and manage engagement teams, define deliverable structure and content, and facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels internally; and

- Demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards based on integrity and honesty based on being a person of principle, impeccable character and integrity who shares the values of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic:

– Understand U.S. FAS strategy including Service Area/Service Line specific strategies, U.S. India FAS strategy, U.S. Functional opportunities and Member Firm opportunities;

- Implement U.S. India FAS strategy with alignment with U.S. FAS strategy;

- Develop and build relationships with U.S. FAS leadership including CEO, Chairman, COO, Service Area/Service Line leaders, Regional Managing Partners, and key Partners, Principals, and Directors;

- Develop and build relationships with key U.S. India leadership including Regional Managing Partner, COO, Functional Regional Managing Partners and Enabling Area leadership;

- Drive growth in prioritized Service Areas/Service Lines with a focus on ongoing validation of priorities along with understanding emerging Service Areas/Service Lines; and

- Understand U.S. Functional and Member Firm opportunities and position U.S. India FAS as the Center of Excellence for diversifying and advancing our growth opportunities.

Financial:

– Provide leadership in the development and execution of each Fiscal Year’s plan including key components such as revenues, expense structure, and profitability;

- Monitor, measure, and manage financial results to ensure timely adjustments, where necessary to not only meet but hopefully, exceed our goals; and

- Ensure individual engagement economics are consistent with initial planning expectations.

Operational:

- Provide leadership regarding attraction, development and retention of our people with a focus on sourcing candidates that align against our service lines/marketing offerings;

- Optimize resource allocation based on a staffing/scheduling model that balance workload and provide growth opportunities for all professionals. For example, ensure utilization and productivity metrics are consistent with our expectations;

- Provide leadership to U.S. India Firm’s various initiatives through active participation and follow through on the same;

- Provide leadership regarding compliance with all Firm policies.
