Bhimtal, situated at a distance of 22kms from Nainital, is named after one of the Pandav brothers called Bhim. The largest lake in the district of Nainital, Bhim This is 1701 meters by 265 meters, 265 meters longer than Naini Lake. The lake known for its magnificent majesty is at an altitude of 1371.6 meters above the sea.
Bhim This is an island, north-east side, which is an exquisite jewel on the lake.
